Why Cahaya Group

Advisory shaped around your organisation

Considered, not prescriptive

We take the time to understand your organisation before forming recommendations. There is no standard template — every engagement reflects your specific situation.

People-aware throughout

Restructuring affects people as much as it affects structures. We maintain an awareness of the human dimension at every stage — in how we work and what we recommend.

Grounded in Malaysian context

Our team works with an understanding of Malaysian employment law, regulatory requirements, and the cultural dimensions of workplace change in this environment.

Clear, written deliverables

Each engagement produces documents that your leadership can use independently — not material that requires us to interpret or maintain on your behalf.

Respectful engagement style

We work as a collaborative partner to your leadership team — asking careful questions, listening properly, and presenting our thinking in a way that invites discussion.

Sequenced for sustainability

Our plans attend to the order and pace of change — because well-designed restructuring that is poorly sequenced will still create unnecessary difficulty.

Ready when you are

Is now the right time to look more closely?

Whether you are at an early stage of considering change or further along in the process, a conversation with our team costs nothing and comes with no obligation to proceed. We are here to help you think things through.

Common questions

Questions we often hear

How do I know whether we need a full restructuring or something more targeted?
That question is often best answered by the Organisational Review itself. Many clients come to us uncertain about the scale of what is needed — the review is designed precisely to create a shared, objective picture before any decisions about change are made. It is a low-risk way to develop clarity.
How long does each engagement typically take?
An Organisational Review generally takes three to six weeks depending on the size of the organisation and availability of personnel. Restructuring Plan Development typically runs four to eight weeks following a review. Change Management Support is scoped individually — engagements may run from a few months to over a year for complex organisations.
What happens to staff confidentiality during the review process?
Discretion is central to how we work. Individual conversations with personnel are held in confidence — views are incorporated into our analysis without attribution. We communicate clearly to all participants about how their input will be used before any conversations take place.
Do you work with organisations of a particular size?
We work with Malaysian organisations across a range of sizes — from SMEs with twenty to fifty staff to larger corporations with several hundred employees. The scope and pricing of each engagement are tailored accordingly. We are happy to discuss what an appropriate engagement might look like for your organisation.
Are there Malaysian legal or regulatory requirements we need to be aware of?
Yes — particularly around retrenchment procedures under the Employment Act 1955 and related industrial relations requirements. Our planning work incorporates an awareness of these obligations, and we will flag where specialist legal advice is warranted. We do not provide legal advice directly but work alongside your legal counsel where needed.
Can we engage you for one service only, or do they need to be sequential?
Each service can stand alone. Some clients come to us already holding an internal review and need help developing a plan. Others have a plan in place and want support through implementation. We are flexible about where you enter. That said, doing the work sequentially generally produces stronger outcomes.
